Adaptive is a strategy and communications consultancy founded by Kara Tureski and Brian Talbot, two senior leaders with decades of experience spanning global health, technology, space, social impact, business development, creative strategy, and organizational growth.

Kara Tureski, MPH

Managing Director

Kara Tureski, MPH is a seasoned leader in social and behavior change (SBC), strategy, and business development, with more than 25 years of experience across global health and development. She has led high-performing teams, managed complex, multi-country initiatives, and built a strong track record of securing new business and strengthening organizational positioning. Most recently, Kara oversaw the SBC practice at a leading international development organization, providing technical direction and strategic leadership across a diverse portfolio and led a global, multi-million-dollar flagship SBC project. She’s known for her ability to connect big-picture vision with practical execution — building partnerships, leading proposals, and advancing impact across sectors and geographies. 

Brian Talbot

Senior Strategist & CMO

Brian Talbot is a senior strategist and creative leader with more than two decades of experience in branding, marketing, and strategic communications. He has worked with a wide range of clients — from startups and mission-driven nonprofits to federal agencies and Fortune 500 companies — helping them define their message, sharpen their positioning, and drive strategic growth. Brian has advised on high-profile initiatives across government and industry, including supporting communications for the White House National Space Council, the U.S. Navy, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Through his work with top creative and policy firms, he’s helped organizations navigate complex issues and connect powerfully with stakeholders. Known for his collaborative leadership, business-minded creativity, and ability to simplify complexity, Brian brings a unique blend of storytelling and strategy to every engagement.
